Maison Moderniste recently visited 'The Architecture of the Detail' at Design Museum Brussels, an entire exhibition dedicated to Belgian interior architect Christophe Gevers. Through models, archive material, drawings, prototypes and interior elements, the exhibition offered a strong overview of Gevers' practice. It showed a designer who worked through making, using models and materials to test and refine his ideas.

The models stood out in particular. Far from simple display pieces, they revealed Gevers' close attention to proportion, construction, and space. The exhibition was a reminder of the quality of Belgian design, still too often underestimated, and of Christophe Gevers' important place within it.
