1. The Pieces

All items offered by Maison Moderniste are original, second-hand objects, some of which qualify as antiques. The collection consists primarily of works produced between the 1950s and 1990s. Each piece is described and photographed as accurately as possible. While we describe items as being in excellent condition, the nature of vintage and antique objects means that traces of age and use may be present. Any significant damage or notable condition issues are disclosed in the product description. Photographs are provided for informational purposes and are not contractually binding. Colours may vary depending on screen settings. Unless otherwise stated, the listed price covers the featured item only, not any additional objects shown in styling. Vintage electronics and electrical items may not comply with current safety standards. It is the buyer's responsibility to verify compliance before use. Maison Moderniste accepts no liability for damage resulting from outdated wiring or improper use.

2. Offers

All offers on the website are subject to change until written acceptance is confirmed by the buyer. Maison Moderniste reserves the right to modify or withdraw any offer prior to confirmation.

3. Placing an Order

Upon placing an order, you will receive an email confirmation. Within 2 business days, a pro-forma invoice will be sent with all relevant details, including a personalised shipping offer if requested at checkout. Maison Moderniste reserves the right to decline an order in the event of supply issues or a prior purchase dispute.

4. Pricing

All prices are listed in Euro (€) and include VAT where applicable. VAT is not deductible. Shipping costs are not included in the listed price and will be specified in the pro-forma invoice.

5. Payment

Payment is due within 7 business days of receiving the invoice. Payment can be made by bank transfer or PayPal, as detailed in the invoice. Ownership of the purchased item remains with Maison Moderniste until payment is received in full. Orders for which payment is not received within the stated period will be cancelled automatically.

6. Storage

Storage of purchased items can be arranged upon request at a fee agreed in advance. Maison Moderniste cannot be held liable for damage or loss occurring during storage.

7. Deliveries

Items are delivered to the address provided at the time of ordering. Maison Moderniste cannot be held responsible for delays caused by the carrier. Upon receipt, the buyer is required to inspect the delivery and note any damage on the carrier's delivery form on the day of arrival. Claims submitted after this point cannot be processed.

8. Force Majeure

Maison Moderniste cannot be held liable for delays or non-performance resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes or disruptions to transport infrastructure.

9. Right of Withdrawal

If a purchased item does not meet your expectations, you may request a return within 5 days of receipt. Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received. Shipping and packaging costs are non-refundable. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

10. Disputes

Any disputes arising from a purchase will be governed by Belgian law. Maison Moderniste's liability is limited to the total value of the order in question. We encourage all parties to seek an amicable resolution before initiating legal proceedings.

11. Privacy

Personal data collected by Maison Moderniste is used exclusively for order processing and delivery. This data is treated as confidential and will not be shared with or sold to third parties. You have the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal data at any time.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including the catalogue, texts and images, is the property of Maison Moderniste BV. Reproduction in any form requires prior written permission. Hyperlinks to this website may be placed freely without prior consent.
