About Paul Gees

Paul Gees (b. 1949, Aalst) is a Belgian sculptor whose work focuses on balance, tension, and proportion. Since the 1970s, he has developed a consistent body of work combining materials such as steel, wood, and stone.

His sculptures are built from simple elements placed in careful relation to one another, often creating a sense of equilibrium. His work moves between sculpture and architecture, with pieces installed both in exhibition and public spaces.
