If we had to start a collection today
Maison Moderniste started from living with objects, not collecting them. From finding beauty in a chair in morning light, or the way a lamp softens a room in the evening. The pieces we choose are the ones that stay close , the ones that make a home feel thoughtful, warm, and lived in. Belgian modernism has that gentleness. Clear lines, honest materials, nothing performed or pretended. These objects were made to be used, shared, and carried through time. They have presence, but they don't ask for attention. They simply belong.
If today were the first day of collecting, these are the pieces we'd choose. Not because they are rare, but because they feel right.
1. Charles Vandenhove — Stool
A sculptural rhythm of openings and structure.
2. Gevers — "Column" Prototype Lamp
A rare clarity of intention, held in light.
4. Jean Batenburg — (object dat je wilt highlighten)
The pleasure of detail, quietly considered.

5. Een kleine, minder duur stuk (voor toegankelijkheid)
A piece that shows beauty does not need scale.
