Willy Van Der Meeren, Tubax G1 Boomerang Table

Pair of first edition G1 Boomerang nesting tables designed by Willy Van der Meeren for Tubax in Belgium in 1953. The design belongs to Van der Meeren's early work at the intersection of social modernism and industrial production, where affordability, prefabrication and rational construction shaped both furniture and architecture.

Black lacquered metal rod frames with original Formica tops in a light, economical construction. The boomerang-shaped surfaces and visible structure reflect Tubax's pioneering role in Belgian modernist furniture and Van der Meeren's direct, non-decorative design language. Nice original condition with appropriate patina consistent with age and use. The tables retain their original screws.
