MAARTEN VAN SEVEREN, Prototype Bench BB97

A rare prototype of the Bench Model 'BB97', created in 1997 in Maarten Van Severen's own studio. Unlike later editions, this early version features a fixed backrest and is made of latex-filled foam with a white coating that has naturally aged over time, showing visible cracks that underline its authenticity. Structurally sound, the bench can be restored upon request, allowing it to be enjoyed either in its original, time-worn state or with a refreshed finish.
